Our view

The Titan Elite is a well-executed premium laser with two genuinely useful connected features — GPS yardages in the display and Find My Rangefinder. The aluminium build and IP67 rating are the strongest in its class. The honest caveat is the 300 yard flag range, which is a persistent limitation across the entire Precision Pro range and feels particularly incongruous at £399. The battery life drop from 40 to 10 rounds with Bluetooth active requires active management — turn Bluetooth off when you do not need the GPS feature. At £399 versus the Garmin Z82 at £499, the Z82 offers a meaningfully richer GPS experience with a full 2D course overlay in the viewfinder for £100 more. The Titan Elite earns its price for golfers who specifically want the aluminium build, IP67 rating, and the Find My Rangefinder feature in combination.

Pros

  • GPS front/centre/back in the rangefinder display without a phone in your pocket
  • Find My Rangefinder is a genuinely useful feature — no other sub-£500 rangefinder offers this
  • Aluminium shell and IP67 rating are class-leading for all-weather durability
  • Golf Monthly Editor's Choice provides independent editorial validation
  • Free app with no subscription fees

Cons

  • Bluetooth active reduces battery from 40 rounds to 10 rounds — significant real-world limitation
  • 300 yard flag range — same constraint as the £199 NX9, not acceptable at £399
  • At £399 the Garmin Approach Z82 at £499 offers a full 2D course overlay and is a stronger proposition for data-oriented golfers
  • Heaviest rangefinder in the Precision Pro range at 14oz / 397g
  • GPS requires app connection — not onboard in the device itself
