Our view
The Pro LX sits in an interesting position in the Shot Scope range — it is the laser-only version of the Pro LX+ and costs £100 less. The x7 magnification and dual optics are genuine advantages at £249 that most competitors do not match. The honest question is whether the Pro ZR at £299 is the better buy — it adds the DuraShield HardShell and 1,500 yard range for £50 more, though drops to x6 magnification. If optics quality and compact size matter most, the Pro LX wins. If build robustness and maximum range matter more, the Pro ZR is the stronger choice. Both are excellent value at their respective price points.
Pros
- x7 magnification at £249 — most competitors at this price offer x6
- Red/Black dual optics handle low light and bright sunshine equally well
- Compact and stable design praised by reviewers for ease of holding
- Free GPS app access with no subscription adds genuine value
- Can be upgraded to Pro LX+ by adding the H4 handheld separately
Cons
- No shot tracking — that requires purchasing the H4 handheld separately to make it the Pro LX+
- No DuraShield HardShell — that is exclusive to the Pro ZR
- 900 yard range vs 1,500 yards on the Pro ZR at only £50 more
- No OLED display
